Hello. I’m David Conway, an award-winning wedding photographer with over 15 years of experience photographing weddings across the North of the UK. I am incredibly lucky that my passion is my job. I love to photograph weddings, and this is shown in the quality of my work.
I was honoured to be awarded as one of the top ten International Wedding Photographers by The Guild of Photographers in February 2020. However, the thing that drives me is not the prizes but the chance to deliver amazing story books to my brides and grooms of the happiest days of their lives!

My best friend and maid of honour had already made a list of possible Holmfirth Marquees wedding photographer options for me to look at before I had arrived home from Italy! There were 12 on the list and as soon as I saw David’s work I wanted to meet him. We had only arranged to meet with David out of the list and one other photographer who we met at a wedding fair. Both photographers came to our house and we met them 2 days apart from each other. We instantly knew David was the person we wanted to shoot our wedding day. We spoke to David about what we wanted and his enthusiasm really drew us towards him. We also had a second shooter as we asked David for two as we also wanted photos of the groom and grooms men getting ready. David spoke to us about Christina and I am so happy he choose her because she also took some amazing photos.
At the wedding David was hit with the guests, his humour and personality came out and it was like he was another of our wedding guests. I know that I am biased as it is my wedding but I think my wedding photos are the best I have seen haha. David captured our big day so perfectly and I can never thank him or recommend him enough.
The only negative thing to mention is that David takes so many amazing photos it took us around 6 months to pick the ones we want for our album haha!

We met David at the Brides Up North Saltmarshe Hall wedding show. We loved some of his example shots we saw on that day (e.g. the champagne shot) and the quality of the wedding books. We enjoyed chatting to him on the day so we booked him there and then! We were soo happy we picked David as our Saltmarshe Hall Wedding photographer. David’s professionalism but also ability to mix with our guests in a friendly manner made everyone feel at ease and we can’t stop looking at our wedding photo’s! We looked at a number of photographers, all of who were fantastic and talented, however, we were really mindful that you only get one opportunity to have your wedding day photographed and we knew that our photography had to be the right one for us. We made contact with a number of photographers, but found some of them to be quite pushy which put us off immediately. We eventually came across David’s Facebook page and were instantly impressed by his photographs.
We made arrangements to meet at the Trafford Centre and immediately felt at ease and relaxed. David just came across as a really nice guy with a passion for photography and a genuine interest in wanting to ensure that our day was captured perfectly in pictures. After booking David, he stayed in touch throughout and answered all of our questions promptly and reassured us that everything would run smoothly on the day. David welcomed our ideas and went out of his way to get extra resources (at no extra charge!) without a second thought. We met with David a few months prior to the wedding for our pre-wedding photoshoot and he talked us through how the day would plan out and what we could expect (as well as taking some incredible photos which made us even more excited in the lead up to our wedding day).
Our expectations were exceeded on the day. David slotted into our wedding party and made everyone feel instantly at ease. All of our guests commented on what a nice guy he was and said that we couldn’t have asked for a better great hall at mains wedding photographer (which we obviously wholeheartedly agree with). Nothing felt rushed or staged on the day, the whole process felt natural and David made sure that we weren’t taken away from our guests and enjoying our day! He captured our day beautifully, we found it almost an impossible task to narrow them down for our photo album as they were all so perfect!
