Hi! I’m Laura, a wedding and portrait photographer based in beautiful Burley in Wharfedale in West Yorkshire, where I live with my wonderful (if a little high maintenance!) daughter Rose.
I love photographing people; their emotions, reactions, and their connections with others. So I’m in my element at a wedding where I’m surrounded by happy smiles, reassuring touches, silent glances, big belly laughs and of course the occasional tear or two! My style combines photojournalism with beautiful portraits. My approach is fun and relaxed, making you feel comfortable in front of the camera – I want you to actually enjoy having your photograph taken!
My other loves include tea (Twinings!), nature (I am OBSESSED with flowers so keep an eye on your bouquet!), Gin, Autumn leaves, Harry Potter, frosty mornings, walks on the beach, and dairy free Ben & Jerry’s!

We were lucky enough to have Laura capture our wedding day back in May 2019 and she really went above and beyond our expectations! Laura is not only incredibly talented but such a lovely person that it felt like having a friend take our photos on the day, which put us at ease and made us feel so relaxed! We happened across Laura by chance after opting for a whirlwind wedding at the venue of our dreams. With less than 12 weeks to the big day & getting wed 3 days before Christmas I was bombarded with pitiful looks & woeful remarks from past brides about ''not a chance of finding a decent photographer as this late stage'' & "you'll be lucky, everyone will be booked up months in advance, years even!''. A quick search for Yorkshire Wedding Photographers in Google & there was Laura's page. I loved the hues of her photography, the images exuded natural comfortability & a romantic elegance that I wanted captured on our big day. With bated breath, I emailed my date anticipating being disappointed but a speedy reply confirmed the date was free. A couple of email exchanges & we paid our deposit. Laura was most helpful in the run-up to the day, ascertaining what we hoped to capture if we had specific group shots or any special requests. She even took contact numbers for the best man & bridesmaids etc to ensure on the day everyone was contactable! From the moment she arrived Laura was an absolute professional (in the best possible way) she faded effortlessly into the background, gave guidance when needed & suggested beautiful ideas for shots we could not have imagined we'd get. On top of all that she had an amazing ability to engage our camera shy 4 year old (the Percy Pigs were the icing on the cake) to have his picture taken & the results are beyond precious.
