Established in 2013 Vintage Cake Fairy (VCF) provides a warm and friendly service that creates truly personalised works of art. From non traditional to alternative themes, Karen crafts it all with reveal back wedding cakes and hyper realistic novelty cakes. If you would like to add that special touch, VCF also has a personalised cake topper service where you can choose from traditional wedding attire or novelty/general wear with additional characters too such as dogs, cats, etc.
Feeling confident in the flavours of your wedding cake is very important which is why VCF offers tasting boxes to any couple that wishes to ‘try before they buy’. If you have special diets VCF offers a full range of flavours in either gluten or dairy free. Based in Whitwood, West Yorkshire design consultations are offered to all booked couples and are held 3-6 months before the wedding date. No need to worry about the delivery of your cake as VCF has and will travel far to deliver your special cake.

For my wedding I wanted a Harry Potter theme and when we met with Karen and showed and told her our ideas she drew a sketch of what we wanted and later sent me a detailed drawing of what she was going to create for us. The picture alone was amazing and we were so excited to see the finished cake. When we saw it we were speechless.... I don’t even know the best words to describe just how amazing it was. Karen is so so creative and it was such an honour to have her create our cake. We could not have chosen anyone more perfect. All of our guests have told us that they will never ever forget the cake. Anyone reading this really needs to see the pictures of it... it was so realistic that some guests didn’t even know it was a cake.... truly amazing. Absolutely amazing wedding cake!! I recommend Karen 100%! From the moment we met Karen for our consultation we just knew that she understood our wedding theme “ glitz and glam” and our bespoke wedding cake was more than what we ever imagined! Disco glitter ball, lace, colours to match our wedding outfits, even a figurine of our rabbit! We’ve had so many compliments on how great the cake tasted and wasn’t much cake left by the end of the night! One guest said they had 8 slices it was that good!! Karen was fab throughout the whole process. During our first meeting, it was clear she had a real passion for making our vision a reality, and offering ideas when the groom and myself had a difference of opinions on certain things. Karen also presented us with what was probably the toughest choice during the wedding planning - choosing just four of the amazing flavours on offer! On the big day, the cake appeared (almost like magic) in the room set up for the wedding breakfast and we were blown away (as were the guests!) by the detail put into it.
